If they need to communicate directly with the ground, how would their person, animals and facilities get to the ground and back?

It seems that – according to this article – a helicopter drone could be used to carry plants from tropical areas to arid ones, providing the recipient with water and nutrients. The article also mentions that the “transporter” could be made autonomous, but I will get into that later.
As for why they would need to communicate via satellite, I do not think it would be the first choice to have direct contact with the ground. I do not have any specific reason as to why they would not use directly communication, however I believe it is more advanced that sending over a helicopter to manually carry plants.

When i call the method i have to pass the index i of the car and the color.
