Yes, but I recommend that you start off with a simpler software program. I recommend that you buy a program like Canva because it can be extremely simple to use and still allow you to create high-quality images. Of course, once you learn the basics of using Photoshop, you can then move on to a more advanced program. If you look at my website and see an illustration that was made by me, that was created using Canva. Once I learned how to use Photoshop, I was then able to make more complex images; however, learning Photoshop is easier than learning design using Canva.

Update: Adobe has locked down Photoshop on the Mac, so what’s new in Photoshop 2019 is what you get. Although Adobe said the “new” selection feature is changing its position, it now appears as the new layer control menu, which looks like the Selection Menu.
This Photoshop new features picks up where the previous version of Adobe Photoshop Elements left off. Simply drag and drop images onto the design canvas. When you paint or clone images onto a new layer, Photoshop automatically updates the layer with the image source. Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018 has been released, now in 2018, Adobe has completely redesigned its version of Photoshop, this time it brought the design to the application. It has a new web browser zoom feature which allows you to zoom in on pages. The new scroll bar and tabs in this app allow you to see far better content on the screen. It has new additional features like better previewing, edge blur, and a new video feature. The brushes palette also has been improved.

Adobe has also improved the quality along edges in objects in its Sky Replacement feature. PhotoShop is a photo editing software which is used by professionals around the world. Its functionality is not fairly similar to that of the consumer editors such as Pixlr-o-matic or Photoshop Elements. In fact, PhotoShop is a High-Performance workstation with more tools, improvements and full-featured set of scene create-and-save capabilities.
In the meantime, the legacy 3D tools can be used if you like, but it’s completely reasonable to just shut them off completely if they aren’t a core part of your workflow for editing. And don’t worry, the new tools are really cool, and are definitely worth learning. To that end, over the next few years as Adobe transitions to more of the native APIs, the new tools will receive time-based improvements, so you won’t be slamming everything into a state of woe after just using them for a few months.
Another key component of the new 3D workflow at Adobe—the battery of 3D creation tools, and the ease with which Substance Designer, the nameplate for the new 3D platforms at Adobe, can break down, combine, and build 3D objects and primitives in new ways—should be really engaging to general users, because they can put the power of Substance Designer to good use in their personal projects. As Substance Designer becomes increasingly involved in the creation of 3D assets, its capabilities should continue to blossom. You too can create new palettes, kernels, modules, groups, and whatnot in Substance Designer, just like in Photoshop.
