Hazard Snow Leopard Mac OS X V.10.6.6 For PC
Well if you are looking for a stable OSX version than Snow Leopard is as good as it gets. I love the new icon set and the updated Apples Stacks (I hate Carpet when running in Safari and it ate up some of my RAM). Lion and Mountain Lion is a huge update from Snow Leopard but the transition was quick and easy. The smaller change in Mountain Lion for me was the Keyoard symbols. I am using the Iconfab Keyboard set and it is working great but for some reason the Alt+Tab Keyoard symbol is not listed but the Command+Tab Keyboard symbol is. I have an nvidia Macbook and still use it to this day as a mean to get my work done. For me, the best version of OSX is Snow Leopard but it is also the newest version.
I also have a completely legal copy of Snow Leopard V10.6.6 and I understand why Apple took away support for it. I also understand that they might be losing money on keeping support on an OS extra time, even though the OS drove a huge upgrade for all Macs. I just hope Apple respects us enough to let people use it for a couple years longer.
A respectable company that finds out that someone is using their software could send legal threats and take down access to any OS a person might have. If a person has software such as Snow Leopard & Microsoft products that are numerous, it could be a life-time of work.
Really old people like me that want to do more than what they could do over the internet from home, etc. (Netbooks and smartphones), all they want to do is use Etoys (PowerPC), Roboform (PII/3000/400), PowerMiser, Disk2vhd (PIII), etc.
My family and friends who live with me never miss a concert when I go to them or need to shop for something. I can do all those things from iPad and I can upload the concert to YouTube and it is visible to all my friends.
